ITW Security Division is exhibiting its latest ID and secure document solutions at the 11th Security Document Summit being held in Beijing at the China National Convention Centre on 14-16th November. The exhibition is the leading security document event in Asia with a focus on advanced technologies across currency, passports, drivers’ licenses and other secure documents.

Separately, Eric Philippe ITW Security Division’s Director of Government Security, will also be making a presentation at the event conference entitled ‘Creating Trust in Identification Documents’. In this he will cover the importance of identification documents in creating a trusting relationship between an administration and their citizens and how, through theft and counterfeit, this trust can be lost with dramatic consequences. The presentation will also review the advantages and disadvantages of the more traditional security paper-based ID documents as well as some of the more recent developments towards plastic products, providing attendees with an informative and interesting view on the latest technologies.

On display at the ITW Security Division’s stand B005 will be PaperProtekTM the latest product launched from the company. PaperProtekTM takes the latest leading Fasver® print technologies to create a fully customised security print solution to protect document substrates against forgery and counterfeit attempts. Ideal for secure documents such as Visas, Certificates and Diplomas, whose personalised data is typically not protected, PaperProtekTM enables the incorporation of one or more of the Fasver® printed security features to be added. It also increases the overall complexity of documents such as passports with the PaperProtekTM features combining with the traditional laminate to provide a multi-layered approach to protection from forgery or falsification attempts.

The 11th Security Document Summit is now located in the Asian-Olympic Business Circle very close to the world famous Bird’s Nest and Water Cube in Beijing. With space for over 200 exhibitors, 4,000 Exhibition visitors and 600 Conference attendees the show is anticipated to be a great success.

“The 11th Security Document Summit is the ideal place for us to showcase and present our expertise in delivering printed security documents and technologies,” commented Bob Carey, ITW Security Division’s Business Unit Manager. “Asia is an important market for our business and demonstrating our latest products such as PaperProtek TM and our capability to design and provide fully customisable printed ID and security documents direct to attendees is a perfect opportunity for us.”

“In an era when proving your identity and the trust in documents has never been more important we are looking forward to welcoming visitors across China and Asia to visit our stand as well as attending our presentation at the event conference in order to learn more about these important issues.”
